Ursaring (Cosmic Eclipse)

Ursaring's Attack Heavy Hold has 120 Damage for 4 Colorless Energy. This Damage is not that great for 4 Energy since there are many other Pokemon with Attack that has a lot more Damage for 4 Energy. So you might ask what is so great about this Attack? The answer is its effect.

After using Heavy Hold, your opponent's Defending Pokemon can't Attack. Basically, Ursaring is immune to your opponent's Defending Pokemon every turn. Your opponent has left with only 1 choice which is to retreat. But, your opponent needs to have backup Attack that is strong enough to Knock Out Ursaring with 1 Hit. Otherwise, the new Defending Pokemon will need to retreat again.

Energy

The fastest way to attach 4 Energy to Ursaring is using Kiawe (Supporter). Take note that your turn ends after this Supporter is used.

Another way of quick attaching Fire Energy can be done with Welder (Supporter). This Supporter allows you to attach up to 2 Fire Energy Cards from your Hand to your Active Pokemon and then draw 4 Cards. After attaching 2 Fire Energy, you can attach 1 more Fire Energy Cards from your Hand to your Active Pokemon as usual. Now, you will have 3 Fire Energy Attached to your Active Pokemon and you can start using GX Attack.

Sometimes, you might not have enough Fire Energy Cards in your Hand to use Welder. To increase your chance of getting Fire Energy Cards at the start of the game, you can put both Giant Hearth (Stadium Card) and Fiery Flint (Item Card) to your Deck. Fiery Flint allows you to put up to 4 Fire Energy Cards by discarding 2 Cards from your Hand while Giant Heart allows you to put up to 2 Fire Energy Cards from your Deck by discarding 1 Cards from your Hand.

2 Turns is needed to attach 4 Fire Energy to Ursaring if Welder is used.

Prevent Retreating

Your opponent's Active Pokemon can still retreat without discarding Energy with the help of Pokemon Tools Cards. To prevent that either Lysandre Labs (Staidium) or Field Blower (Item) can be used.

If Lysander Labs is in play, all Pokemon Tool Cards have no effect whereas Field Blow can discard up to 2 Pokemon Tools in play. Now, the quickest way for your opponent's Active Pokemon to retreat is through the use of Supporters assuming that those cards are in your opponent's Deck.
