Gardevoir V Battle Deck consists mainly of Psychic Pokemon so it is definitely good against Fighting Battle Deck. This Battle Deck focuses on healing which make Pokemon in this deck quite tanky. If your opponent don't have attacker with high damage, it will be very hard for your opponent to knock out your Pokemon because you will be healing your damaged Pokemon every turn.
Hawlucha is a great choice to start the game if it is in your staring hand. This is because of its first attack, Windfall which let your shuffle your hand and then draw 5 cards for 1 Colorless Energy. In the early game, you need to draw more cards to set up your strategy. Using Windfall, you can draw extra card if your hand size has less than 5 cards or shuffle your hand if it is full with un-usable cards.
But, if you have cards in your hand that you want to keep for next turn, you can use Hawlucha other attack, Speed Attack to lower your opponent HP by 30 instead of using Windfall. Again, you only need 1 Colorless Energy to use Speed Attack.
Granbull is suitable for early game attacker since it is Stage 1 Pokemon and its first attack, Jaw Lock doesn't require too much Energy. Jaw Lock has 50 damage and has an effect of preventing your opponent's Defending Pokemon from retreating. The only way that your opponent can retreat its Defending Pokemon is by using Items like Switch or Escape Rope. Also, Supporter like Bird Keeper can be used to retreat the Defending Pokemon. Unfortunately, these kinds of Supporter are not available in the Battle Deck.
Granbull second attack, Headbutt Bounce is high damage attack with 130 damage. This attack requires 2 Psychic Energy and 1 Colorless Energy to use. You can use Jaw Lock to lock your opponent attack with no Energy first and then use Headbutt Bounce to KO it during your next turn.
The feature Pokemon, Gardevoir V performs best when it is healed before attaacking. Its second attack, Swelling Pulse has 120 base damage and does extra 80 damage if it is healed during this turn. The max damage of Swelling Pulse is 200 and you need 2 Psychic Energy and 1 Colorless Energy to use it. This is 100% guarantee 1HKO to any Single Prize Pokemon.
To heal Gardevoir V, you can either use Clefable Ability, Lunar Blessing or Suspicious Food Tin. Lunar Blessing heal 20 damage from an Active Pokemon that has Psychic Energy while Suspicious Food Tin heal 80 damage from 1 of your Pokemon that has Psychic Energy and you need to discard 1 Psychic Energy from that Pokemon after using Suspicious Food Tin. There are two copies of Clefable in this deck so you can heal up to 40 damage from your Active Psychic Pokemon during each turn.
Although other attacks in this deck can't boost damage by healing like Gardevoir V, you can still heal them using Lunar Blessing or Suspicious Food Tin in order to prevent them from getting knock out from your opponent's Pokemon attack.
By the way, Clefairy also has an interesting attack, Mini-Metronome. For 2 Colorless Energy, the attack let you flip a coin and if heads, you can choose 1 of your opponent's Pokemon attacks. It is possible that you can OHKO your opponent's Active Pokemon which has high damage attack by using Mini-Metronome. This is because you only need 2 Energy to use your opponent's Pokemon attack while your opponent might need 3 or more Energy to use its high damage attack. So, you will be attacking first and you have 50% chance to knock it out.
Dragapult has a very strong Ability, Infiltrator. This Ability forces your opponent to flip a coin after your opponent's Active Pokemon attack. If your opponent get head, Dragapult does not receive any damage. Basically, Dragapult has 50% chance to nullify any damage during your opponent turn. Even if your opponent managed to attack Dragapult, you can still heal 40 damage from it using 2 Clefable. Your opponent's will be really trouble if they can't OHKO Dragapult and you might even get upset win if your opponent keep flipping head.
Dragapult not only has strong Ability also has strong attack. Its only attack, Phantom Force requires 2 Psychic Energy and has 120 base damage. In addition, this attack allows you to spread 3 damage counters on your opponent's Benched Pokemon in any way you like. Some of your opponent's low remaing HP Benched Pokemon can be knoced out by 3 damage counters.
Another great thing about Dragapult is that it has no Retreat Cost. When its HP becomes very low, you can replace it with your Benched Pokemon without discarding any Energy from it.
There is only 1 Bede in this Battle Deck and you can only use this Supporter to accelerate extra Energy Bede let you attach 1 Basic Energy from your hand to 1 of your Benched Pokemon. With Bede, you can attach up to 2 Basic Energy during your turn. If your Benched Pokemon have enough Energy to attack after using Bede, you can use Switch to swap it with current Active Pokemon.
