Noivern V Battle Deck ~ PTCG92

Attackers

There are 3 main attackers in Noivern V Battle Deck : Noivern V, Lugia and Crobat V. Noivern V and Lugia are great for early game as both of them are Basic Pokemon where Crobat V will be used as late game attacker becaouse it is a Stage 2 Pokemon.

As expected from feature Pokemon of this deck, Noivern V attacks are much better than other attackers. All of its attacks require very few Energy to use. For 1 Psychic Energy, the first attack, Boomburst deos 20 damage to all your opponent's Pokemon. By reducing 20 HP of your opponent's Pokemon, your Lugia can OHKO most of your opponent's Single Prize Pokemon.

The other attack, Synchro Loud will have 180 damage if both you and your opponent have same hand size. Otherwise, this attack will only deal 60 damage. You only need 1 Psychic Energy and 1 Dark Energy to use this attack.

There are two ways for you to synchronize your hand with your opponent hand. The first way is to manually use up cards from your hand until both your and your opponent have same hand size by using Items and Supporter, putting Pokemon onto your Bench or evolving Pokemon.

The other way is by using Supporter Copycat. This Supporter let you shuffle your hand and draw number of cards equivalent to number of cards in your opponent's hand. So, both you and your opponent have same number of cards in respective hand after using Copycat.

Lugia Energy Loop attack has high damage of 120 and you need 3 Colorless Energy to use this attack. This attack also has an effect of returning 1 Energy from Lugia to your hand. The good thing about this effect is that you can save 1 Energy if your Lugia will be knocked out during your opponent's next turn. On the other hand, if you keep using this attack, you can't attach Energy to other Pokemon except your attacking Lugia.

Crobat Wing Attack has 100 damage and you only need 2 Colorless Energy to use this attack. So, its definitely better attacker than Lugia since Crobat has fewer Energy cost than Lugia and the damage difference between these 2 Pokemon is only 20 damage.

In addition to a main attacker, Crobat is also a draw support Pokemon because of its Ability Drastic Draw. This Ability let your draw 3 cards when you evolve your Golbat into Crobat. Its pre-evolution, Golbat also has similar Ability, Discreet Draw. Discreet Draw works in the same ways Drastic Draw but you can only draw 2 cards using Discreet Draw Ability.

Both Zubat and Golbat are not good attacker at all. So, it is better to keep them on your Bench before evolving them into Crobat.

Energy Control

Xatu first attack, Energy Warp let you move 1 Energy from 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon to their Active Pokemon. You can use this awesome effect in two different ways. The first way is to move Energy from your opponent's Benched Attacker to their Active Pokemon. Doing so, your opponent will not be able to attach Energy to Bench Attacker unless they retreat their Active Support Pokemon with 1 of the Benched Attacker.

But, what if your opponent Active Pokemon is Attacker instead of Support Pokemon ? Because if you try to use Energy Warp, you might be helping your opponent Attacker by accelerating Energy. You can solve this problem if you have Escape Rope in your hand. By using Escape Rope, you can force your opponent's Attacker to switch it with 1 of your Benched Pokemon. It doesn't really matter whether your opponent choose Attacker or Support Pokemon as new Active Pokemon. The aim here is to reduce the number of Energy attached from old Active Attacker so that your opponent will take longer time to set up.

Energy Acceleration

If you want to take full advantage of this deck, you should focus on evolving Alcremie as soon as possible. After evolving Milecery into Alcremie, you can start accelerating Energy to your Benched attacker by using its attack Decorate. This attack let you attach any number of Basic Energy from your hand to your Pokemon in any way you like. In other words, you can extra Energy to multiple Pokemon using this attack.

If you don't have Basic Energy in your hand, you can use Gordie to look at top 7 cards of your deck and put any number of Energy your found there into your hand. Also, you can use either Sonia or Energy Search to find 2 Basic Energy or 1 Basic Energy respectively from your deck. Since Noivern V need 1 Psychic and 1 Darkness Energy to use its attack Synchro Loud, you can find specific type of Energy using Energy Search or Sonia.

By the way, Sonia can be also used to find 2 Basic Pokemon instead of 2 Basic Energy.

Draw Support

Other than Corbat and Golbat Abilities, Supporter such as Hop and Dan can be used to draw cards. The more cards you have in your hand, the easier for you to set up your strategy.
