Strategies

Major Pokemon in this theme deck are mainly Electric and Grass Type and all of them are useful since they have either powerful ability or massive damage. Although, Sceptile is the only Pokemon mentioned in the description, other Pokemon such as Manectric, Lanturn, Oranguru and Abomasnow are equally powerful depending on the situation of the game. On top of that, there are Items and Supporter Card that will increase your chance of winning the game.

Always goes for second if you are playing this deck. This is because of Manectric Ability Electric Start which allows you to use Manectric as Active Pokemon when you have this card in your hand while going for second. You will have huge advantage over your opponent since you are playing Stage 1 Pokemon on your first turn and you can attack at the same time. It's Attack Double Charge has 40 Damage for just one electric energy. Not only that, you can attach 2 Basic Energy Cards from your hand to one of the Benched Pokemon.
This is like hitting two birds with one stone since you damaged your Opponent's Pokemon and at the same time, you already attached 2 Energy Cards to one of your Benched Pokemon which usually required you to take two turns. While, your opponent does not even attack your Active Pokemon and only total of one energy card was attached to his or her respective Pokemon.

If you have Lady Supporter Card in your hand, use it without hesitation. This card allow you to take any four basic energy cards from your deck to your hand. So, you have more Energy Cards to attached to your benched Pokemon as soon as possible.

Manectric

Sceptile's Attack Powerful Storm works very well with Manectric's Attack Dobule Chrage. Since Powerful Storm damage is based on total number of energy attached to all of your Pokemon and each energy worth 20 Damage. As there are total of 20 Energy Cards in this deck and if you manage to attached all of those cards to all your Pokemon in Play, Powerful Storm Damage can become 400. On top of that, you only need one Grass Energy to use this attack.

Sceptile

Lanturn can be used either as an Attacker or Supporter for Sceptile Attack Powerful Storm. As a supporter, you do not really need to attach energy card from your hand to Lanturn because of its Ability Energy Grounding that will allows you to attach one energy card from your Defending Pokemon when it is knocked out. In addition, you can use Exp.Share on Lanturn and this will allows you to attach two energy cards from your Defending Pokemon when it is knocked out. Doing so, most of your energy will not be wasted in discard pile. As a result, Sceptile's Attack Powerful Storm become stronger because of Lanturn ability to retain energy as much as possible.

As mentioned earlier, Lanturn can also be used as Attacker. Although the damage from Lightning Strike is 70 Damage, you still have an option to increase the damage to 140 by discarding all Electric Energy Cards attached to it. It is recommended to attach one Grass Energy and two Electric Energy Cards to it. This is to prevent discarding all energy cards from it when you decide to go with 140 Damage.

Lanturn

Abomasnow is not really recommend for using as an Attacker simply due to two reasons. Firstly its only one Attack Hypno Hammer required you to attach four energy cards and one of the energy cards must be Grass Energy in order to use it. And the damage is only 80 for four basic energy though there is Asleep Condition to your opponent Defending Pokemon. There is 50% Chance that you opponent might be awake during his or her turn. So, its not really worth to use as an attacker.

However its Ability Blessings of the Frost is very useful. To use this ability, you must have at least one Grass Energy in your discard pile since the ability allows you to attach one Grass Energy from your discard pile to any of your Pokemon in play after you successfully evolved to Abomasnow. This can change the tide of the battle especially when your Active Pokemon still need one more energy to attack or to increase the damage of Sceptile's Attack Powerful Storm to knock out the opponent's Defending Pokemon.

Abomasnow

The last Pokemon I wanted to mention is Oranguru. But I won't be discussing it since it is already discussed in Destruction Fang

There are three Trainer cards: Switch, Tate and Liza, Guzma that will allow you to switch your Active Pokemon with one of the benched Pokemon. Switching is very important in this theme deck for conserving energy cards for Sceptile's Attack Powerful Storm, the large retreat cost of Abomasnow and retreating Lanturn after you use its max attack Lightning Strike.
