Strategies
If you think luck is on your side, this theme deck is the right one for you. Majority of main Pokemon in this theme deck require you to flip coins to perform attack and the moment you flip heads, their effect are just outstanding. You can still use this theme deck if you want to gamble your attack since there are still Pokemon which doesn't require you to flip coins yet inflict huge damage. I will start the discussion with Pokemon that require you to flip coins before you attack since that is the cool part of this theme deck.Pinsir's Attack Roof Fling allows you to put your opponent's Defending Pokemon and all the cards attached to it to your opponents hand if you got head from flipping a coin. This effect really come in handy when you are dealing with Stage 2 Defending Pokemon or Defending Pokemon with a lot of energy cards. You can still use Guillotine if you don't want to flip a coin since it has base damage of 50 which is very generous for Base Pokemon with two Grass Energy Cards.
Parasect another Pokemon which require you to flip coins. Yep, you need to flip multiple coins (Three Coins) to use its Attack Fury Cutter unlike Pinsir which you only need to flip one coin. Flipping multiple coins is better than just flipping one coin since you have more chance to get heads. The more heads you get, the stronger the Fury Cutter is. The damage can be 30, 70 or 130 based on the number of heads you get. If you don't get any head, Fury Cutter will still inflict 10 Damage to your opponent's Defending Pokemon. Again, this is very generous for two energy to use this attack.
Trumbeak is the last Pokemon that require you to flip coins to perfrom attack. Its attack Bullet Seeds has more coins to flip than previous two Pokemon and four coins, to be exact. Each head inflicts 20 Damage to your opponent Defending Pokemon and the Damage can be up to 80 if you flip all heads. This attack is very very worth it for just for one basic energy and the chance of you getting zero head is very difficult unless you are very unlucky.
Decidueye's Attack Brave Bird doesn't require you to flip a coin yet it delivers massive damage of 120. But, there is a recoil damage of 20 to Decidueye everytime you use the attack. There are three different options, you can heal Decidueye from recoil damage which is to use either Poiton (Recover 30 Damage) , Big Malasada (Recover 20 Damage and cure all status conditions) or Bounsweet's Attack Sweet Scent (Recover 30 Damage). Note that you need to retreat Decidueye and have one Grass Energy in your hand to use Bounsweet's Attack Sweet Scent.
Formantis and Shiinotic are two useful Pokemon which must be discussed. Although Formantis seems weak in this theme deck, its Synthesis Effect is extremely useful which allow you to attack one Grass Energy to any of your Pokemon in play. This effect will give you advantage in early game since you can attach two energy cards to your Pokemon during your turn.
Similarly, Shiinotic is not really meant for fighting but mainly for using its Ability Illuminate every turn. Its ability allow you to search any Grass Type Pokemon from your deck and put it into your hand. So you don't have to worry about evolving main Attacking Pokemon like Parasect or Decidueye.
