Hidden Moon

Description

Dark Wings of Mystery!
Hurtling across the sky on purple wings, Lunala leads a fiery crew of Pokémon! Keep your Pokémon evolving and bide your time until you reveal the power of the Hidden Moon theme deck!

Strategies

Full of strange and interesting Pokemon which may seem not very useful at first glance but the moment you discovered their hidden power, you will definitely like this theme deck. The Pokemon in this theme deck are well equipped with strong effect rather than have massive damage except for Lunala. Majority of the Pokemon are Psychic Pokemon while the rest are Fire Pokemon.

There are two Lunala Cards available in this theme deck and you can use this as an advantage. Wings of the Moone which has the massive damage of 130 comes with the effect of allowing you to move all Psychic Energy from Lunala to Benched Pokemon in anyway you like. You might probably be asking what so good about this attack since there will be no more energy attached to Lunala to use any attack. Well, its depend on how you use this attack and the right way to use Wings of the Moone is when Lunala's HP is critical. This will allows you to not only damage the defending Pokemon but also transfer energy to next attacking Pokemon which can be another Lunala again since you have two cards of Lunala.

Although Wings of the Moone is useful, it is recommended to use Shatter Shot when LunaLa HP is not critical. Shatter Shot damage is based on number of Psychic Energy attached to Lunala and each energy is worth of 40 Damage. If you have three Psychic Energy attached to Lunala, you can use either Shatter Shot or Wings of the Moone with damage of 120 and 130 respectively. As you can see the difference in damage is only 10. So, there is no point in transferring Psychic Energy to benched Pokemon if Lunala's HP is not critical.

Mimikyu's Copycat Attack can become very powerful attack depending on how you use it. The move allow you to use any attack except for GX attack that has been used by opponent defending Pokemon during last term. Anyway, there is no GX Pokemon in Theme Deck Versus so it doesn't matter at all. Since Mimikyu can copy other attack, it is better to use it only when your opponent defending Pokemon use powerful attack during last turn. Otherwise, try not to put Mimikyu as Attacking Pokemon and keep it on the Bench because it will be waste as there is only one Mimikyu card in the whole theme deck.

Mimikyu

Last two Pokemon I want to discuss are Oricorio and Salazzle. Oricorio's Revelation Dance Attack put one damage counter on opponent Pokemon (Both Active and Benched) in anyway you like for each opponent's Pokemon in their discard pile. For example. if your opponent have five Pokemon in their discard pile, you can put three damage counters on Active Pokemon and two damage counters on one of Benched Pokemon. So, use it in a way that brings most advantage to you. Again, like Mimikyu, there is only one Oricorio in this theme deck and thus use it only when it is necessary.

Oricorio

Salazzle is mentioned mainly because of its Ability Hot Posion which has the two condition effects of Burned and Posioned on your opponent's Defending Pokemon. The requirement to use this ability is that you have to evolve Salandit to Salazzle. Other than these Pokemon, Bewear is also in this theme deck which has decent damage and useful ability. You can read about Bewear this post: Destitution Fang.
