Lunala Deck [Celebrations] ~ PTCG92

Overview

Lunala attack, Luna Pain is really painful to endure. For 2 Colorless Energy, this attack doubles damage counters on all your opponent's Pokemon. This is a kind of attack that let you grabs 6 Prize Cards in 1 turn. Spreading damage is must have strategy for Luna Pain attack and Pokemon that can targets multiple Pokemon work great for Luna Pain. Since the highest HP of Pokemon VMAX is 340, you only need to spread 170 damage on 2 of your opponent's Pokemon VMAX and then use Lunar Pain to win the game.

Lunala other attack, Psychic Shot has 130 base damage and does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's benched Pokemon. Although this attack can target 2 Pokemon,the attack requires 1 Psychic Energy and 2 Colorless Energy to use and it takes a few turns to set up. So, it is better to use other faster Pokemon to spread damage and you can't really used Lunala in the early game since it is a Stage 2 Pokemon.

Lunala pre-evolutions, Cosmog and Cosmoem have same attack, Star Protection. This attack has no damage but prevent all damage done to Cosmog or Cosmoem if you get head from flipping a coin. This effect is mainly to stall your opponent while you are setting up your strategy.

Main Attacker

Noivern V attack, Boomburst can spread 20 damage to all your opponent's Pokemon. You only need 1 Psychic Energy to use this attack. Boomburst can be enhanced with Telescopic Sight to deal 50 damage to all your opponent Benched Pokemon V. After 2 turns, your opponent's Benched Pokemon V will have 100 damage counters from Boomburst attacks and then use Lunala attack, Luna Pain 2 times to quadruple damage counters on those Pokemon and knock them out.

The other attack, Synchro Burst can deal high damage on your opponent's Active Pokemon. This attack has 60 base damage and does extra 120 damage if both you and your opponent have same numbers of cards in respective hand. Using Marnie will le you adjust your hand easily since you only need to use 1 card from your hand to equalize the hand size between you and your opponent. With 180 damage from Synchro Burst and double damage counters from Luna Pain, you can 2HKO your oppnent's Active Pokemon VMAX.

Search Engine

Without the help of specific Trainers, it will take forever to create the right condition for Luna Pain. Drizzile and Inteleon Ablities Shady Dealings let you search 1 and 2 Trainers respectively when you evolve them. So, you can search cards like Rare Candy, Telesopic SIgtt or Marnie etc to set your deck strategy.

In addition, Inteleon Rapid Strike Ability Double Shooting let you put 2 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokemon. You can't simply estimate 2 damage counters since with Luna Pain each 2 damage counters is equivalent to 40 damage and might knock out your opponent's Pokemon.
