Flapple V & Flapple VMAX Deck

Overview

If you are like me who enjoy irritating or annoying your opponent, Flapple V is perfect partner for you. With single Grass Energy Cost, its first attack, Sour Saliva , makes your opponent's Defending Pokemon's attack cost 2 Colorless Energy more. This really create trouble for your opponent's Pokemon to launch 1HKO attack during their first turn even with the Energy Acceleration Card such as Welder.

It's VMAX also come with very strong attack, G-Max Roll and this attack has Base Damage of 250 for 1 Grass Energy and 2 Colorless Energy and does 10 less Damage for each Damage Counter on Flapple VMAX. Basically, it is an 1HKO attack for most of the Pokemon except VMAX and some GX Pokemon (2HKO). Not many Pokemon have this amount of Damage for 3 Energy Cost and what makes this attack scarier is that  it is not even one time use attack like GX attack.

Energy Control

There are some Trainer Cards you can use to enhance your Energy Control over your opponent's Pokemon. Doing so, you can further increase your chance of KO your opponent's Pokemon even before it completely attach Energy to use their Pokemon Attack.

Even though Team Yell Grunt (Supporter) does not discard Energy Card from your opponent's Active Pokemon, it is still a good card to stall your opponent's Pokemon attack. On the other hand, you have 50% chance of discarding Energy from your opponent's Active Pokemon if you use Crushing Hammer (Item).

Heal

Since Flapple VMAX G-Max Roll Damage depend on its HP, it is important to heal it frequently to maintain its 250 Damage.

You can either use Cheryl or Zarude V to fully heal all damage from Flapple VMAX. Take note that you need to discard all Energy from Flapple VMAX if you use Cheryl. On the other hand, you don't need to discard any Energy from Flapple VMAX if you use Zarude V attack, Jungle Rising which allows you to fully heal Flapple VMAX as long as you have at least 1 Garss Energy in your hand.

Wyndon Stadium can be only use when you evolve your V Pokemon to VMAX Pokemon and heal 100 Damage from it. This effect become useful when your Flapple V has high Damage Counter on it. In order to limit your opponent from using this effect, it is wise to play this Stadium only on your turn when you evolve Flapple V to Flapple VMax.

Energy

If you really like to play aggressive with Flapple VMAX, you must accelerate your Energy set up since you need 3 Grass Energy to use Flapple VMAX attack, G-Max Roll. Rillaboom [Sword & Sheild] is perfect card to accelerate Energy set up for your Flapple VMAX as its Ability, Voltage Beat allows you to attach 2 Grass Energy from your Deck to 1 of your Pokemon. Also, you can use this Ability to attach Energy for Zarude V.

Since Rillaboom is a Stage 2 Pokemon, it takes at least 3 turns to set up. But, you can shorten the number of turn to 1 turn by using Rowlet  & Alolan Exeggutor-GX attack, Super Growth which allows to evolve Grookey into Rillaboom within 1 turn.

Pokemon Tool

Sour Saliva has very powerful effect of stalling your opponent's Pokemon attack and it is waste that it cannot be used when you evolve Flapple V to its VMAX. To solve this you can attach Memoery Capsule (Pokemon Tool) ot Flapple VMax. This tool allow your Flapple VMAX to access its previous evolution attacks.
