Overview
Both Zacian V and Zamazenta V are tanky Pokemon since they have both 220 HP and 230 HP respectively. Having 230 HP makes Zamazenta V with Highest HP among all the Basic V Pokemon released so far. In addition, both Pokemon have -30 Grass Resistance.
Zacian V's Attack Brave Blade has 230 Damage which is strong enough to Knock Out all the Basic V Pokemon. However, you can't use this Attack during your next turn. You can also use Zacian V's Ability Intrepid Sword for Energy Acceleration. This Ability allows you to look at top 3 Cards of your Deck and attach any Metal Energy you find there to Zacian V. Your turn will end after using this Ability.
On the other hand, Zamazenta V's Attack Assault Tackle (130 Damage with effect that discard Special Energy from your opponent's Active Pokemon) is not as strong as Zacian V's Attack Brave Blade. However, it is equipped with very defensive Ability, Dauntless Shield. This Ability prevent all Damage done to Zamazenta V from your opponent's VMax Pokemon Attacks.
These two Pokemon Cards really represent Sword and Shield concept and work very well together. You can put Zacian V as your main Attacker whle put Zamazenta V on your Bench for dealing with your opponent's VMax Pokemon.
Reduce Damage
We already know that both Legendary Pokemon have very high Hp and you can make them more tanky by using reduce Damage effect from Pokemon and Trainers.By using Lucario&Melmetal GX (Standard) Attack Full Metal Wall GX, your Zacian V & Zamazenta V will take 30 less Damage from your opponent's Attack for the rest of the game.
You can further reduced Damage by using following cards.
- Metal Frying Pan (Standard) : This Pokemon Tool will reduce 30 Damage. In addition, your Zacian V and Zamazenta V will no longer have Weakness.
- Shield Energy (Expanded) : This Special Energy reduces 10 less Damage taken by your Metal Pokemon
- Reverse Valley (Expanded) : This Stadium reduceds 10 less Damage taken by your Metal Pokemon.
In Expanded Format, you will be able to reduce total of 80 Damage (30 + 30 + 10 + 10) from your opponent's Pokemon Attack.
Prevent Status Condition
Since my definition of being tanky also require immune to any Status Condition, you can put Cobalion GX on your Bench and use its Ability Metal Symbol to prevent all Status Condition and remove all existing Status Conditions from your Legendary duo.
Switch and Healing
Because Zacian V can't Attack after using Brave Blade, you need to retreat it and retreating cost you 2 Energy. If you can retreat it and then put it as Active Pokemon, you can use the Brave Blade Attack again without waiting extra turn.
Mallow & Lana (Standard) and Switch (Standard) Cards allow you to switch Zacian V with 1 of your Benched Pokemon without discarding any Energy Cards. If you use "Mallow & Lana and Switch" or "2 Switch", you will be able to use Brave Blade again. In addition, Switch effect come in handy when you want to switch Zacian V with Zamazenta V for dealing with your opponent's V Max Pokemon.
Mallow & Lana also heals 120 Damage from your Pokemon by discarding 2 Cards from your Hand.
Mallow & Lana (Standard) and Switch (Standard) Cards allow you to switch Zacian V with 1 of your Benched Pokemon without discarding any Energy Cards. If you use "Mallow & Lana and Switch" or "2 Switch", you will be able to use Brave Blade again. In addition, Switch effect come in handy when you want to switch Zacian V with Zamazenta V for dealing with your opponent's V Max Pokemon.

Max Potion (Expanded) can be used to remove all Damage from 1 of your Pokemon. But, you need to discard all Energy from your Pokemon.
Energy Acceleration
You can have quick Energy Setup with Metal Saucer (Standard). This Item cards allows you to attach 1 Metal Energy from your Discard Pile to 1 of your Metal Benched Pokemon. With this Item Cards, you might be able to attach 3 Metal Energy to Zacian V in one turn.
But you need to have Metal Energy in your Discard Pile to use Metal Saucer. One way to discard Metal Energy is to use Quick Ball (Standard). This Item card allows you to search 1 Basic Pokemon from your Deck and put that Pokemon into your Hand by discarding 1 Card from your Hand. With this effect, you can set up Zacian V and attach 1 Metal Energy from Discard Pile at the same.
But you need to have Metal Energy in your Discard Pile to use Metal Saucer. One way to discard Metal Energy is to use Quick Ball (Standard). This Item card allows you to search 1 Basic Pokemon from your Deck and put that Pokemon into your Hand by discarding 1 Card from your Hand. With this effect, you can set up Zacian V and attach 1 Metal Energy from Discard Pile at the same.
