Overview
As expected from Snorlax, its V Card and VMax Card has very high HP and Retreat Cost. Especially, Snorlax VMax has highest HP (340) so far. Thus, your opponent will need to 2HKO it unless your opponent is using Fighting Pokemon or Pokemon with 1HKO Attack like Raticate (Boundaries Crossed).Snorlax V's first Attack Swallow Up is more suitable for defensive play as this Attack will heal same amount of Damage you did to your opponent's Active Pokemon. This Attack has 60 Base Damage and thus you can heal 60 HP from it during your turn. You can even recover more HP if you use Pokemon and/or Trainers that increases its Damage.
The other Attack Fall Down is a letdown because you need 4 Energy to use it and this Attack has only 170 Damage. Additionally, it will Asleep after you use this Attack. There are already many Pokemon with Attack with 3 Energy Cost that Damage is higher than 170. So, I don't really recommend using this Attack.
Snorlax VMax Attack G-Max Fall can become very powerful since this Attack has 60 Base Damage and does 30 more Damage for each of your Benched Pokemon. If you have full Benched Pokemon, you will be able to deal 210 Damage (60 + 30*5) from this Attack.
You probably recall similar Attack from M-Rayquaza EX's Emerald Break which 30 Damage times No of your Benched Pokemon. Unlike M-Rayayza EX, your turn won't end when you evolves your Snorlax V into Snorlax VMax and its Attack has much higher Damage. The major downside of using Snorlax VMax is you just need to give extra Prize Card compared to M-Rayquaza Ex.
Energy Acceleration
Both Snorlax V's Attack Swallow Up and Snorlax VMax's Attack G-Max Fall require 3 Colorless Energy. Here are a few ways you can accelerate 3 Energy within 1 Turn.
As usual, Welder (Standard) and Giant Hearth (Standard) or Fiery Flint (Standard) can be used to attach 3 Fire Energy to your Snorlax VMax. First, you find 2 Fire Energy using Giant Hearth or Fiery Flint and then attach those 2 Fire Energy Cards using Welder. After that, attach 1 more Energy from your Hand to your Snorlax VMax. This means you can also use your Snorlax VMax with your existing Fire Decks that use Welder.
Or You can attach Triple Acceleration Energy (Standard) to Snorlax Vmax. But you need to discard it at the end of your turn. This Special Energy card works well with "Turbo Deck". So, Pokemon with Draw Ability are compatible with this Special Energy. Here are some Pokemon that allows you to pull extra cards from your Deck.
- Cincinno's Ability Thrifty (Standard) allows you to draw 2 Cards during your turn by discarding a card from your Hand. You might argue Zoroark GX (Standard) is better Pokemon since it has the exact same Ability and it can also serve as secondary Attacker. You are absolutely right. The reason I chose Cincinno is just to introduce another great card from SW/SH.
- You can also pull more cards using Shaymin's EX Ability Set Up (Expanded)> This Ability allows you to draw cards until you have 6 Cards in your Hand.
By attaching Memory Energy (Standard) to Snorlax VMax, it can now also use Snorlax V's Attack Swallow Up. High HP and High Healing Effect will make Snorlax Vmax's an awesome Tank and this will be definitely good for your Tanky Deck.
Increase HP
Since both Snorlax V and Snorlax VMax have exatcly 4 Retreat Cost, you can equip it with Buff Padding (Standard) to get extra 50 HP.Increase Damage
If you are planning to build aggressive Deck, you can use these cards to boost up G-Max Fall Damage.- Sky Field (Expanded) will allows you to have 8 Benched Pokemon instead of 5 Benched Pokemon. With this, G-Max Fall Damage will become 300 Damage (60+30*8).
- Attaching Muscle Band (Expanded) to Snorlax Vmax will increase G-Max Fall Damage by 20.
If you manged to set up all those mentioned cards, your G-Max Fall Attack (320 Damage) will be strong enough to Knock Out most of the VMax Pokemon with 1 hit.
Set Up
You can Guzma & Hala (Standard) to search Triple Acceleration Energy , Sky Field and Muscle Band.Evolution Incense also comes in handy if you are building a turbo deck as this cards allow you to search Snorlax VMax from your Deck.
