Basically, these Grunt are die-hard fans of Trainer, Marnie and want her to become a Champion of Galar Region. So, they will make troubles with any of her rivals such as obstructing their Gym Challenges.

Let's get back to the main topic about the possibilities of Team Yell Grunt (Supporter) Effect. As mentioned earlier, their main job is to disturb other Trainers. In terms of PTCG, there are many ways you can annoy or disturb your opponent such as Status Effects, Discarding Cards or Shuffle Hand etc. Because of Team Yell Nature, the chances of this Supporter Card having purely beneficial effect such as Draw Cards or Search Cards is almost zero  This narrows down to what kind of negative effect this Supporter does to your opponent.

If we look at the History of all Grunt Supporters, you will notice that all these Cards have some to do with Discard Cards. 

• Team Skull Grunt: Discard 2 Energy Cards from your opponent's Hand
• Team Flare Grunt: Discard an Energy Attached to your opponent's Pokemon
• Team Magma Grunt: Discard a Card from your Hand and draw 3 Cards. If you discarded a Team Magma Pokemon, draw 1 more Card.
• Team Aqua Grunt: Discard a Card from your Hand and draw 3 Cards. If you discarded a Team Aqua Pokemon, draw 1 more Card.
• Team Plasma Grunt: Discard a Team Plasma Card from your Hand and draw 4 Cards.

  

   

This information can be categorized into two general groups: Discard Energy and Discard a Card from your Hand & Draw Cards. Since we are only focusing on Negative Effect on your opponent, the beneficial effect of Draw Cards can be excluded. Now, it becomes more apparent that Energy Removal from your opponent is perfect effect for Team Yell Grunt (Supporter).

When choosing the Energy Removal effect for Team Yell Grunt (Supporter), the effect can't be same as other Supporters since every Supporter has its own unique effect. Here are 3 possibilities of Energy Removal Effect for Team Yell Grunt (Supporter)

• Put Energy from your opponent's Active Pokemon into his or her Hand
• Shuffle Energy from your opponent's Active Pokemon into his or her Deck.
• Your opponent reveal his or her Hand, put an Energy you found there back into his or her Deck.
