Overview
Eternatus VMAX has the highest HP of 340 among VMAX Pokemon. It has only one attack and it is very strong. The attack, Dread End does 30 damage for each of your Dark Pokemon in play. And its Ability, Eternal Zone allows you to play 8 Benched Pokemon instead of 5 Benched Pokemon. But, you can only play Dark Pokemon when Eternal Zone is in effect. With the help of Eternal Zone, the max damage of Dread End will become 270 damage for 2 Energy [1 Darkness Energy and 1 Colorless Energy].
In the early game, the Basic Eternatus V can be used to accelerate Energy to other Dark Pokemon with its first attack, Power Accelerator. This attack has 30 damage and has an effect that allows you to attach 1 Basic Dark Energy to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
Playing Eternatus VMAX is not difficult at all since all you have to do is put Dark Pokemon as many as possible to increase Dread End damage.
Dark Pokemon
Below are some of the Dark Pokemon that goes very well with Eternatus VMAX Deck.
Galarian Weezing with Neutralizing Gas Ability can sometimes make your opponent give up the game. This is because its Ability blocks all your opponent's Pokemon Ability and at the moment, all the strong decks heavily rely on Pokemon Ability to search and draw card. So, without these Abilities, your opponent\s hand will be locked unless they have Supporter Card like Professor's Research in their hand.
Its attack, Sever Poison is also quite strong since its Poison put 4 damage counters on your opponent's Active Pokemon every turn. After using Sever Poison on your opponent's Pokemon, the remaining HP of that Pokemon can be easily knocked out by Eternatus VMAX attack.
Koffing with Ascension attack can be used to setup Galarian Weezing during your first turn if you go second. Having Galarian Weezing in the early game will allows you to setup your strategy firster than your opponent since its Ability blocks your opponent's Pokemon Ability.
Galardian Moltres V can be your second attacker since its has quite strong attack, Aura Burn [190 damage]. In addition, its Ability, Direflame Wing allows you to attach 1 Darkness Energy from your discard pile to it. You can also use this Ability to accelerate Energy for your other Eternatus VMAX., First, use Direflame Wing to attach Dark Energy to Galarian Moltres V and then transfer it to Eternatus VMAX using Energy Switch.
Crobat V is mainly for drawing cards with it Ability Dark Asset. With more cards in your hands, you will be able to set up your strategy a lot easier.
Supporter
By using Piers, you can find Dark Pokemon and an Energy from your deck. In other words, you can use it to find either Basic or Stage 1 or Stage 2 Dark Pokemon depending on your need. Also, Piers can find any Energy including Special Energy. So, Hiding Energy can also be found from your deck using Piers.
Attaching Hiding Energy to your Dark Pokemon reduce their Retreat Cost to become 0. This is great for your deck as both Eternatus VMAX and Galarian Weezing have very high Retreat Cost of 3 Energy.
