Pikachu V-UNION Deck Celebrations

Overview

Before Pikachu V-UNION is discussed, let me give some introduction about V-Union Mechanics. To play a V-UNION Pokemon, all four different parts of V-Union Pokemon must be in your discard pile. Once all four parts of V-UNION Pokemon are in your discard pile, you can assemble all four parts together and play it as 1 V-Union Pokemon on your bench. Similar to VMAX Pokemon, you opponent takes 3 Prize Cards when your V-Union Pokemon is knocked out.

Pikachu V-UNION has lowest HP [300] among V-UNION Pokemon which have been revealed so far. Because of its Lighting Type, it has Fighting Wekaness. And 2 Energy is required in order to retreat it.

Its third attack, Disconnect probably is the best attack compared to other three attacks.  For 2 Lighting Energy and 1 Colorless Energy, this attack has 150 damage and has an effect of preventing your opponent from using any Items during your opponent's next turn. If you use Boss's Order to switch 1 of your opponent's Benched VMAX Pokemon which has no Pokemon Tool or no Energy attached and then use Disconnect attack, your opponent's new Active Pokemon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn unless they have Supporter like Bird Keeper  or the new Active Pokemon require only 1 Energy to retreat.

After that you can use Pikachu V-UNION last attack, Electro Ball Together [250 damage] to knock out your opponent's VMAX Pokemon during your next turn. By the way, you also need 2 Lighting Energy and 1 Colorless Energy to use Electro Ball Together attack. The combination of Disconnect and Electro Ball Together can 2HKO any of your opponent's Pokemon without your Pikachu V-UNION receiving any damage if your opponent has no way to retreat his or her Active Pokemon.

The second attack, Shocking Shock [1 Lighting Energy and 1 Colorless Energy] has 120 damage and has an effect of Paralyzing your opponent Pokemon if you managed to get head from flipping a coin. If you managed to Paralyze your opponent Pokemon using Shock Shock, you can use Electro Ball Together during your next turn to knock out your opponent's VMAX Pokemon without your Pikachu V-UNION receiving any damage.

Like other V-UNION Pokemon, its first attack is UNION Gain and can be used to attach 2 Lighting Energy from your discard pile to it.

Discarding V-Union Cards

To play Pikachu V-UNION, you need to discard its parts either from your hand or from your deck. So, you deck definitely must have cards that can discard card.

Using Professor Burnet, you can discard 2 Cards from your deck. This way you can discard you can 2 parts of Pikachu V-UNION from your deck.

To discard Pikachu V-Union parts from your hand, you need to have them in your hand first. Other than using Items such as Great Ball to find those parts, you can use Adventurer's Discovery to find 3 parts from your deck since this Supporter allows you to find 3 V Pokemon from your deck. After that, you can use Professor's Research to discard those parts if they are already in your hand.

Familiar Bell can also be used to find Pikachu V-UNION parts as long as 1 part is in the discard pile.

Additional Attacker

Because you can only play 1 Pikachu V-UNION for the whold game, you definitely need another type of attacker in your deck. Rayquaza VMAX Rapid Strike is chosen because of its high damage and its Ability to discard card from your hand. In addition, it also use Lightning Energy for its attack, Max Burst. So, you can use its Ability. Azure Pulse to discard your Pikachu V-UNION card from your hand and at the same time, you can use it to either defend or attack against your opponent's Active Pokemon.

Energy Setup

Flaaffy Ability, Dynamotor let your attach 1 Lightning Energy from your discard pile to 1 of your Benched Pokemon. Discarding Lighting Energy is not difficult for this deck as there are numbers of Trainers and Pokemon which can discard multiple cards easily in this deck. Since Pikachu V-UNION needs 3 Lightning Energy to use all of its attack, setting up 3 Flaaffy on your bench will be enough.
